Board News - April 2025

Tonight’s online meeting began with the story of a farmer who sowed good seed into his field but an enemy sowed weeds. Strangely, rather than pull out the weeds immediately, it was wiser to let them grow together before separating the weeds and the wheat. Why would Jesus tell such a story? To warn and encourage.

All Christian organisations will have a mix of ‘wheat and weeds’ inside. This is the warning, something we should be aware of. The day will come when Jesus will return and finally separate the weeds from the wheat. This is the encouragement.

The fullness of the Kingdom of Heaven cannot be seen yet. But it will be.

Families should have received a copy of the Pedagogical Framework Booklet at the end of Term 1. Please take the time to read through this and encourage your children’s teachers in their work. Later in the year there will be a session to further explain the framework to families.

We are grateful for the work of the Financial Sub-Committee and the Business manager and the team working with him. Tonight we accepted the auditors report as submitted by Saward Dawson. These will be presented at the AGM on Thursday 3 July 2025. You will receive more information about this meeting in time.

Next week a number of students and teachers will be in Mt Gambier for the Generations in Jazz Festival. Please support them in prayer and in whatever other way you can.
