Board News - November 2025

Our final meeting for 2025 was opened with a devotion about thanksgiving. Sharon read Psalm 95 - Let us come before him (God) with thanksgiving. There is much about St Andrews for us to give thanks to God - our staff who teach and disciple our children; board members who give so much of their time and energy; for James (Chair), Nick (Principal) and Darren (Business Manager); for the property and resources we have. And more.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

The report from our Principal made mention of the staff at St Andrews. The Board is constantly encouraged by the desire of our staff to remain at St Andrews in all roles. For those who are leaving, whether through retirement, relocation, or just making a change, thank you for your time and involvement at St Andrews Christian College. May God bless you and use you in all things.

This is our last opportunity to publicly send our best wishes to the Nepal Mission Trip Team. We pray that God will guide you and bless you as you speak about him and encourage people you haven’t yet met. We look forward to hearing from you when you return.

Some board members recently attended a lunch gathering with many other Christian School leaders hosted by Christian Schools Australia. This is always a great opportunity to connect with other school leaders.

In 2026 the Board plans to meet on the fourth Thursday of each month. As always, there will be some flexibility if required. It’s not a significant change, but something for our community to be aware of. Our first meeting, however, will be on Saturday Feb 21.

To all students, we pray you will enjoy your holidays and look forward to sharing the Presentation Events with you next week.

To all staff, we pray that you too will enjoy your holidays. We pray also you will find time to rest and prayerfully reflect on how God has led you through this year.

To everyone, may God bless you as you celebrate the birth of Jesus again in 2025. As you sing the songs, and hang the decorations, remember the story of Jesus doesn’t end in Bethlehem. The story of Jesus involves an empty manger, an empty cross, and an empty tomb.

Jesus is alive. Hallelujah.
