Board News - October 2025
The Board continues to do their work in the background of all that happens at St Andrews Christian College.
Stephanie opened our meeting by pointing us to the story of Bartimaeus - the blind man who wasn’t afraid to call out to Jesus. Here is a man who shows childlike faith and childlike persistence, believing that Jesus could help him.Such a posture of expectant faith is a helpful example for us all. He not only got what he wanted, his sight, he immediately followed Jesus.
The use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in schools is a concern for many. There is a policy being prepared for St Andrews Christian College and should be in its final form early 2026.
Last week our Principal, Mr Haines, was a guest at the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria. It was good for him to be able to speak to ministers and elders of the PCV about the history and the future of St Andrews.
Over the school holidays some maintenance work was done on trees and paths, and the new fans were installed in the multi-purpose hall. If you feel like the fans cool the building, please make sure to thank Mr Waterworth.
Tonight the Board had the task of approving the budget for 2026. We are thankful for the work of Mr Waterworth, the finance sub-committee and all those who are involved in preparing this. Parents will receive a communication advising them of the fees for their family in 2026.

As our Year 12 students come to the end of their lessons we congratulate them for getting through a busy year. As you come to your exams, and the future unfolds for you, we pray that you will know a life lived for Jesus is a life well lived.
God bless you in all you do.
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
