Board News - September 2025

Our meeting this month began with a devotion from Walter Gear guiding us through passages of Scripture that help us to know how to seek and discern God’s will for our lives.

The troubles in Nepal in recent days have been noted by the leaders of the mission trip. The College has been receiving reports on the situation and believes it has settled. Members of the team will be informed of any changes.

School holidays are a good time to do some maintenance. This month some new fans will be installed in the multi-purpose hall. This should help with the summer months.

The Finance Committee has been preparing the budget for the 2026 financial year.

Mrs Sue Dunn and Rev Brian Harvey have accepted renomination and will begin another three-year term as directors on 1 January 2026.

Tonight the Board had the responsibility of appointing / reappointing people to the positions of Chair, Vice chair, and Secretary. We are pleased to inform the College community of the following:

Chair James Bligh (Two Year Appointment)
Vice-Chair Thomas Chong (One Year Appointment)
Secretary Sharon Rowland (One Year Appointment)

We are grateful for the length of time both James & Sharon have served the Board in this way, and for their continuing service. We are also thankful that Thomas has accepted the nomination to be the Vice-Chair for the next year.

The board also acknowledged the many years that Peter Lewis has served the Board as Vice-Chair. Peter will continue on the Board.
