Running the Race

Following Jesus is more like a marathon race than a sprint! It’s a life-long “race” which is run full of Real Hope knowing that at the very end we will live with Jesus in the New Heaven & Earth.

It is often a hard and challenging race, but we run it with others and even with God helping us by his Spirit!

At the College we will be thinking about this often in 2024 as we focus on our theme “Running the Race” based on Hebrews 12:1b-2a. Rev Tim Meyers (Principal of Melbourne School of Theology / Eastern College) was our guest speaker at our annual Dedication Assembly on Monday, February 19. In an inspiring and humorous way, he exhorted our students to join and persevere in this “race” of following and trusting Jesus.

Would you like to find out more about what it means to trust and follow Jesus? The College will soon be inviting any parents if they would like to join a short course that will, over a few sessions, explain what the Bible teaches about us and Jesus, and God’s invitation to people to trust and follow him.
